ഇത്തരം സാഹചര്യങ്ങളെ രണ്ടായി തരംതിരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്, *Correction & Change.* CBSE ബോർഡ് നൽകുന്ന സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുകൾ സ്കൂൾ രേഖകളിൽ നിന്ന് വിഭിന്നമാകരുത്. അങ്ങനെയുള്ള സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുകൾ തിരുത്തുന്നത് *Correction* എന്നതിന്റെ കീഴിലാണ് വരുന്നത്.
എന്നാൽ പൊതു രേഖകളായ ഇലക്ഷൻ കാർഡ്, ആധാർ കാർഡ്, ജനന സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് എന്നിവയിൽ നിന്ന് സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുകളിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള വിവരങ്ങൾ വ്യത്യാസമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവ തിരുത്തുന്നത് *Change* എന്ന കാറ്റഗറിയുടെ കീഴിൽ വരുന്നു.
Jigya Yadav Thru Her Father vs C.B.S.E. (Central Board of Secondary Education on 3 June, 2021) എന്ന കേസിൽ താഴെ കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള നിബന്ധനകൾ മുന്നോട്ട് വെച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഇത്തരം കേസുകളിൽ സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് തിരുത്തി കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ടെന്ന് സുപ്രീംകോടതി വിധി പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
(a) An affidavit containing a declaration and an undertaking to indemnify the Board.
(b) Payment of fee for administrative expenses. W. P. (C) No.18320 of 2021
(c) The Board may in a given case, depending on the facts, require effecting of public notice and publication in the official gazette.
(d) Require surrender of the original certificate.
(e) A fresh certificate issued may contain disclaimer and caption/annotation against the original entry. (Except in respect of change of name effected in exercise of 'right to be forgotten'.)
മേല്പറഞ്ഞ കാരണങ്ങൾക്കൊണ്ട് തനൂജയ്ക്ക് സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് തിരുത്തികിട്ടുവാൻ എല്ലാവിധ സാധ്യതയുമുണ്ട്.
